5FUN!Nov 24, 2009
By Kristie Bissen "sbissen2"
So this has been a hit with my kids all summer long! I bought 2 and do not regret it. The rope is really long and you can easily tie it to a tree if you don't have a swing set - which is what I did. After several months of use the rope is wearing well and not getting ragged. Anyone who has kids swings with the nylon rope knows that over time that rope gets frayed and is like little razor blades. My normal experience is it lasts a few months before you need to replace it or tape over it. The rope that came with these has done great. It has been out side in hot/cold and rain or shine and has not shown any signs of wear. I am sure it will need to be replaced at one time or another, but I am impressed at this one. The disk swing itself it loads of fun and easy for kids to get on. Mine were 6 & 4 (twins) and they had no problem. The kids in the area as young as 2 got on and held on with no problems. We did take one and create a knot about 1 foot above the disk to allow a better grip. Not because any thing was wrong with the rope or swing, but our kids like to be pushed high and "spun" around. So we wanted them to have a better grip. The weight limit is good and high, where most kids stuff is low.
If you have kids and they want a unique swing this is it. Again you don't have to have a swing set. It was easy to tie to a tree branch and fast set up to start the fun!

2DisappointedMay 30, 2011

There are two main problems with this disk seat swing.

1. There is no plastic cone around the rope, so my grandchildren now have rub marks on their legs from the rope.

2. The only time I've seen this swing level is in the picture on Amazon. Yet our other disk seat swing (by Little Tykes) sits level - and yes, it has a cone to protect children's legs.

I bought this one only because it had a 15' rope, longer than any of the others. Sadly, the rope wasn't long enough - my fault for not measuring the height of the tree limb first.

Anyone know how to correct the tilt, and (other than duct tape around the rope) keep kids' legs from getting rope burns?

5club house successJul 30, 2010
By happy camper
My husband and I built our 21/2 and 41/2 yr olds a club house in the back yard. We paid specific attention to all details and decided to add a swing to it. We shopped around both in store and on the web and couldn't find anything with a long enough rope, right size, and or something that would fit our budget. I found this swing and after reading reviews decided to make the purchase. It's been up now for around three weeks and we've had every child in the neighborhood on it and LOVING IT. Ages ranging from 2 - 7. It's sturdy, strong, easy to mount, and really fun to jump on. It's by far the favorite accessory on the club house and once they're on it no one wants to come off. Worth every penny and we only wish that we had room for another one.

This has been a great swing and I love that we were easily able to replace the provided rope with one long enough for our tall trees!
